Software for Financial Advisers, Accountants & Mortgage Brokers

Client portals, document workflows, and AI-assisted compliance tooling for advisers and accountants who need bespoke software that the off-the-shelf platforms can't deliver.

The problem

What we usually see when a financial service reaches out.

Financial services has high compliance overhead and high client expectations — and most of the platforms (Xplan, AdviserLogic, COIN, MYOB Practice, Class Super) handle the regulatory layer but stop short of bespoke client experience. Client portals are templated. Document handling is manual. Compliance reviews eat hours. Annual reviews require chasing fact-finds across email. The advisers who win the next decade are the ones whose digital experience matches the seriousness of the financial advice.

The landscape

Where the gap lives.

Australian financial advice operates under ASIC's licensing regime, with the Statement of Advice machinery governed by RG175 and best-interests duty under RG244. The practice management market splits along advice type: Iress' Xplan dominates large-AFSL adviser networks, AdviserLogic and COIN run mid-market, Class Super owns the SMSF segment, and accounting practices run MYOB Practice or Xero Practice Manager alongside one of the above. None handle the bespoke client experience well — portals are vendor-branded and generic, document handling assumes the adviser will manually attach everything, and compliance review remains substantially manual.

Mortgage broking is its own sub-vertical with its own platforms (Mercury, Salestrekker, BrokerEngine) and aggregator-driven reporting requirements. Accountancy practices have similar gaps — Practice Ignition, FYI Docs, Karbon and the Xero/MYOB Practice tools each cover part of the workflow but rarely the bespoke client-facing experience that wins (and retains) the high-fee accounts.

Where AI helps — document classification, structured fact-find extraction, compliance pre-checks against RG175 standards, summarisation of recorded review meetings — we engineer for reliability and audit trails, not demo polish. Final advice authorisation always remains the licensed adviser's; the automation handles the work that doesn't require human judgement.

Our approach

How we think about it.

Treat compliance as the floor (it has to work, it has to audit), then build the client experience and internal automation that genuinely differentiates the practice. We integrate with the regulatory platforms rather than replacing them. Where AI helps — document classification, compliance review pre-checks, structured fact-find extraction — we engineer it for reliability, not demo polish.

Why bespoke

Where off-the-shelf falls short.

  • Practice management portals (Xplan / AdviserLogic / COIN client portals) are templated and generic — they don't match the firm's brand or visual standard

  • Document handling assumes manual attachment — automation requires API access most regulatory platforms expose only at enterprise tier

  • Compliance pre-check tooling (against RG175 SOA standards) doesn't exist off-the-shelf at any meaningful quality bar

  • Annual review automation requires bespoke logic per advice type — a simple template doesn't match how reviews actually run

  • Multi-tenant white-label platforms for accountancy networks or aggregator broker groups are bespoke by definition

  • Australian data residency for AFS-licensed practices isn't guaranteed by every off-the-shelf SaaS vendor

What we typically build

Concrete examples.

  • Branded client portal with secure document exchange, fact-find updates, and review history

  • AI-assisted document classification for inbound client correspondence (statements, super reports, payslips, bank exports)

  • Annual review workflow with automated client outreach, structured intake, and review-document generation

  • Compliance pre-check against ASIC RG175 / RG244 SOA standards with adviser sign-off

  • Integration between Xplan / AdviserLogic / COIN and Xero / MYOB / Class Super

  • Mortgage broker lender comparison and submission workflow integrated with Mercury / Salestrekker

  • White-label client portal for accountancy practice networks and adviser groups

  • Recorded-meeting transcription and summarisation with structured fact-find extraction

  • Fee disclosure statement (FDS) and ongoing-fee renewal automation

Indicative pricing

Most financial-services engagements fall between $30K and $120K. Lower bound is compliance-driven (the regulatory floor adds engineering). Larger multi-adviser or accountancy-network platforms scale higher.

Real pricing is set after a scoping call. We give honest ranges up front rather than hiding behind "contact us" — the actual quote may land lower or higher depending on what discovery surfaces.

FAQs

The questions we usually get.

Do you replace Xplan, AdviserLogic, or COIN?

No — those handle the regulatory and statement-of-advice machinery. We build the client experience and internal automation that sits alongside them.

Can AI tools be used for advice work given ASIC rules?

Yes, with appropriate engineering. AI can classify documents, extract structured data from fact-finds, and pre-check compliance — but final advice authorisation always remains the licensed adviser's. We build with that boundary explicitly enforced.

Do you handle data sovereignty for AFS-licensed practices?

Yes — Australian data residency is a standard requirement we engineer to. Cloudflare Australia, AWS Sydney, and Azure Australia East are typical hosting choices for engagements with explicit residency requirements.

Can you integrate with MYOB Practice / Class Super / Reckon?

Yes — most accountancy and superannuation platforms have APIs. Integration scope is confirmed in discovery before quoting because the depth of available integration varies between platforms.

How do you charge given the regulatory complexity?

Fixed-price after a thorough discovery phase, with milestones tied to delivery. The discovery itself is paid because it produces a written architectural plan you can use even if you choose not to proceed with us.
