The brief

01

What they came to us with.

Organisations with substantial asset libraries in major DAM systems (Mediagraph, Capture, Picvario, and others) needed a way to surface curated subsets of those assets to public audiences — without rebuilding presentation logic for every deployment, and without exposing the DAM directly. Memat is the answer: a configurable public-facing presentation layer that integrates with DAMs and turns their contents into polished public experiences.

Our approach

02

How we thought about it.

We treated Memat as a presentation problem, not a storage problem. The DAM — whichever one the organisation uses — stays the source of truth for the assets themselves. Memat layers on top: an integration tier that talks to each DAM API, a curation layer that lets editorial teams choose what surfaces, and a public frontend designed for audiences rather than asset managers. Each deployment can be branded and tuned to its specific audience.

The build

03

What we made.

Custom platform with adapters for Mediagraph, Capture, Picvario and other DAM APIs; a configurable curation layer driven by metadata; and a polished public-facing frontend optimised for media-heavy load. Asset workflows respect the DAM’s permissions model — Memat never exposes anything the source DAM hasn’t authorised. Drum Archive is one live deployment; the platform supports many.

The outcome

04

Where it landed.

A platform that lets organisations with major DAM investments turn those assets into public experiences without bespoke rebuilds for each one. The DAM keeps doing what it’s good at; Memat handles the public side.
